How do I set up WePay as my fundraiser's payment processor?

WePay is the default payment processor for fundraisers based in the U.S. Fundraisers based internationally must select PayPal as their payment processor. 

You'll be eligible to set up a WePay account through YouCaring if you have a valid U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. Bank account.

WePay requires that the stated beneficiary of a fundraiser or a close family member manage the funds directly. If you choose WePay as your payment processor, you’ll be able to select to manage the funds yourself if the fundraiser is for you, or have your beneficiary receive the donations directly. That stage of the fundraiser setup process will look like this:


After you've set up a fundraiser with YouCaring, WePay will send you, or your beneficiary a confirmation email with instructions for completing the account set up and linking a bank account. We recommend that you follow the prompts in your WePay setup email as soon as possible.
