How do I verify my PayPal account?


A "validated but unverified” message on your fundraiser should not cause any issues with your ability to receive donations, but it does indicate that one of two things needs to be completed in your PayPal account.

First, this could mean that your PayPal account needs to be verified. You can correct this by checking your email for a PayPal verification email, or following the verification prompts when you sign into your PayPal account.

To verify your PayPal account please follow these steps:

1. Go to and log in to your account.
2. Click 'Get Verified' under your name.
3. Click the verification method you want to use.
4. Follow the steps to complete the process.

Secondly, this could indicate that a bank account has not been added to PayPal. You can follow these steps to add a bank account:

1. Go to and log in to your account.
2. Click Wallet near the top of the page.
3. Click Link a payment method.
4. Click Bank Account.
5. Select the account type, enter the Routing and Account numbers, and then click Continue.

If you would prefer not to add a bank account to your PayPal account and only intend to receive and use funds within your account, you can ignore the "validated but unverified" message on your fundraiser. This will not affect your ability to receive donations.
